The Details:
The Operations Specialist will report directly to the Manager, Operations at a growing publicly traded insurance company based in La Jolla, California. The ideal candidate would be joining a dynamic work environment to drive initiatives and serve primarily as internal support staff for the Operations department. Candidates applying for this position should be self-starters possessing a strong customer service focused mindset combined with an ability to manage responsibilities in a timely, accurate, professional, and consistent manner. Working within Operations will allow the candidate to learn about other roles within the company - including but not limited to Accounting, Marketing, Product/Business Teams, Technology, and Underwriting- while accomplishing specific projects and job responsibilities, leading to strong professional growth opportunities.
What will you do?
Update and maintain account documentation including accuracy and organization of files and information systems
Assist Underwriters and other internal departments such as Accounting and Marketing with general clerical duties as needed
Perform policy administration for residential and commercial lines, including but not limited to quote, bind, endorse, cancel, reinstate, rewrite/reissue, loss runs, inspections, and mortgagee requests
Data entry and clearance for new business and renewal accounts
Assist in mailroom tasks related to ingestion of incoming mail both physical and digital
Assist in the review and execution of Suspense Payments within Operations and Accounting
Other special projects as assigned by the Vice President of Operations
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's Degree
1-3 Years of industry experience or Operational experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, and Teams (Access and SQL a plus)

Pay Range: $47,000-71,000
The above pay range is for all US-based roles based on function and level, benchmarked against companies of similar size and scope. To be compliant with local legislation as well as provide greater transparency to candidates, we disclose salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired job location. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and the opportunity for annual long-term incentive stock grants. In addition, we offer a highly competitive benefits package. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and qualifications, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
