As a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in surgical circulation, you will engage in a short-term assignment focusing on a variety of surgical cases, including general surgery and neurosurgery, in a state-of-the-art facility. You will apply critical thinking and teamwork skills to deliver safe and effective patient care while collaborating with healthcare professionals to assess and implement care strategies. Required qualifications include a current RN license, with a preference for candidates holding higher degrees such as a BSN or MSN, along with BLS certification.

Compensation
- 13 week short term agreement.
- $65.00 an hour flat rate.
- No benefits.
We have 10 brand new, state of the art, operating rooms for general surgery, colorectal, breast and plastic surgery reconstruction, urology, robotics, and neurosurgery cases located in the ACC at Norman Regional Hospital. Our nurses demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient new nurses to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area. Upon completion of orientation, nurses will be able to circulate general surgery, colorectal, breast and plastic surgery reconstruction, urology, robotics, and neurosurgery cases as well as a wide variety of other service lines. Responsibilities:
RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data,
Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care,
Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions, and
Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
Qualifications:
Education
- Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
Licensure/Certification
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
