About the Job:

The practice of vascular-interventional radiography is performed by health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. A vascular-interventional technologist performs radiographic and other procedures at the request of a licensed practitioner.

What You’ll Do:

Performs vascular-interventional procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Vascular Interventional Practice Standards” and the ASRT “Code of Ethics”
Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model
Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations or institutional policy
Continually assesses professional performance as a responsible member of the health care team by means of quality improvement and customer service

Who You Are:

Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required
ARRT certification, Required
- Certification in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology, Preferred
Three (3) of clinical experience in Diagnostic Imaging Modality, Preferred
Some experience in Special Procedures, Preferred
Successfully completing an accredited educational program in radiologic technology, Required
