OB/GYN Laborist Physician Locums Job In-house Call Coverage in New Mexico Starting April 2025 and Ongoing
Jackson and Coker is partnered with a Women's Hospital located in central New Mexico that is in need of OB/GYN Laborist call coverage. Anticipating either four 24-hour shifts or eight 12-hour shifts per month to be covered each month starting as soon as credentialed.
Details/Requirements :
Active and unrestricted New Mexico medical license required at time of presentation
Current Board Certification is required
Either (4) 24-hour shifts (8am to 8am) or 8 12-hour shifts per month.
C-Sections, tubals, hysterectomies, GYN emergencies
Locums physicians can expect to cover both the ED & L&D at times
Facility detail: 16 bed unit, level 3 NICU, 3000+ annual deliveries, Epic EMR
There is a robust midwife group in place that handles most of the deliveries, locums physician will not be required to have supervision responsibilities
Support staff: Midwives, RNs, Techs & 24/7 Anesthesia
Scope of work: low risk deliveries, high risk deliveries, interpreting level I & II ultrasounds, routine & complicated deliveries, repair of 3rd & 4th lacerations, gynecological surgery at an on call capacity only (staffed providers primarily cover the ED GYN call)
