The Emergency Department at Children s Hospital of the King s Daughters is part of the region s only free-standing pediatric hospital and only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, the emergency department cares for children presenting after trauma, with medical emergencies, acute and chronic illness. A dedicated team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and emergency technicians care for over 50,000 children per year. The Division of Emergency Medicine is recruiting a pediatric provider in joining a dynamic team of providers for a long-term commitment.
Minor Care Area (Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
Responsibilities:
The pediatric provider is responsible for the assessment and care of patients presenting with acute illness, asthma exacerbation, mild dehydration, and orthopedic injuries. Upon completion of orientation, the provider is expected to demonstrate competency in incision and drainage; foreign body removal ear, nose, skin; repair of scalp and simple skin laceration. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic and enjoy working with team members to deliver efficient quality patient care.
