Key Responsibilities:
Coverage Requirements:
- Provide night shift coverage from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., 5 consecutive days per week.
- Expected to work between 10 to 14 nights per month.
- No weekday or weekend call.
Patient Care:
- Manage an average of 7 patients per day.
- Handle 8 hospital patients daily, including 3 admissions and 8 ICU patients.
Procedures and Skills:
- Required: Central lines and arterial lines.
- Preferred: Experience with infectious disease, hematologic disorders, surgical care, and suturing.
Support:
- Work alongside 3 physicians onsite at all times.
- Anesthesia and GYN services available as needed.
- Access to support from specialized consultants for complex cases.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Active South Carolina license required; no exceptions.
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an ICU setting with current experience in neurocritical care.
- Charting: Experience with Epic preferred.
- Credentialing: Estimated timeframe of 60-90 days to start.
Additional Information:
- Housing: Not specified; candidates should arrange their own accommodations.
- Intermittent Dates: Availability required for 5 days consecutively, with a flexible schedule to be determined between client and provider on a monthly basis.
