Responsibilities:
TheThoracic Surgeonwill:
- Diagnose and evaluate conditions that affect the chest, including lung cancer, esophageal disorders, mediastinal tumors, pleural diseases, and congenital heart defects
- Assess the patient's overall health before surgery, discussthe risks and benefits of the procedure, and obtaininformed consent
- Communicate with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
- Board Eligible / Certified
