This position is for an Emergency Medicine Physician in Tennessee, specializing in providing care in an emergency department setting with flexible shifts. Types of Cases: General emergency medicine with required procedures, including intubation, chest tubes, and central lines
# of Patients per Hour: 1.6 patients per hour
Ages: Pediatric to Adult
EMR: MedHost
Requirements:
ACLS, ATLS, PALS (current and without lapse)
COVID vaccination or exemption required
Other:
No APC or scribe coverage
Admitting orders handled by the HM provider except from 2:30 AM to 6:00 AM, when the ED physician takes responsibility
Annual patient volume averages 37 patients per day (YTD)
ED Bed Count: 21
Codes are responded to by Hospital Medicine (HM) until 5:00 PM, after which the EM physician takes over. Between 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM, the EM physician handles calls and codes on the floor.
