Position Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled Cardiac Perfusionist to join our team in Syracuse, NY. Under the direction of a cardiac surgeon, the Cardiac Perfusionist sets up and maintains the heart-lung machine and monitors patients during open heart surgical procedures. This role provides essential technical and clinical support to the perioperative care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgeries.
- Monitor patient s physiological parameters throughout the procedure.
- Provide technical and clinical support to the surgical team.
- Participate in patient care planning and team discussions.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of perfusion.
- NYS perfusion licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Commitment to ongoing education and skills maintenance in specific areas of expertise.
