The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible for performing and evaluating clinical laboratory tests and procedures. This role requires proficiency in laboratory operations, quality control, and the ability to train and instruct other personnel. Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree and relevant certification, along with general lab experience or equivalent training.
This well-established, state-of-the-art, 500-bed acute care hospital is looking for a permanent, full-time Med Tech.
Job Description:
- Performs and demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the clinical laboratory
- Assists in instructing other personnel as assigned
- Performs with a perceptive depth of clinical laboratory tests and procedures which require the exercise of independent judgment and responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Show competency in performing testing procedures
- Effectively use laboratory equipment
- Perform and evaluate Quality Control Program
- Assist with laboratory training program
Requirements:
- Associate s Degree
- NCA, ASCP, HEW or AMT certified
- 1 year general lab experience or equivalent clinical laboratory training program
