We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a PRN basis at our facility in Russellville, AL . The PRN SLP will provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals of all ages with communication, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients in various clinical settings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified communication and swallowing goals.
- Provide skilled therapy services including but not limited to articulation therapy, language intervention, fluency therapy, cognitive rehabilitation, and dysphagia management.
- Monitor and document patient progress, modifications to treatment plans, and any adverse reactions or complications.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to improve communication skills and facilitate optimal swallowing function.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and educators to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards, as well as facility policies and procedures related to patient care, documentation, and safety.
Qualifications:
- Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in Florida.
- CPR certification (preferred).
- Previous experience in a clinical setting or with pediatric and geriatric populations is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
