Position: Part-Time Surgical Sterile Processing/Instrument Technician
PVESC is seeking a part-time Surgical Sterile Processing/Instrument Technician to support our busy surgery department. Our surgical team consists of five board-certified surgeons, two neurologists, and one anesthesiologist, specializing in soft tissue, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and neurosurgery. The sterile processing technician plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards by sterilizing, cleaning, assembling, storing, and distributing surgical instruments and supplies, helping to prevent infections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, sterilize, and process surgical instruments and supplies.
- Assemble and package surgical packs to ensure they meet departmental standards.
- Maintain accurate records for sterilization processes.
- Ensure that all surgical tools and equipment are properly maintained and functioning.
What We’re Looking For:
- Sterile processing experience is required.
- Veterinary experience is helpful but not necessary.
- Ability to work two 10.5-hour shifts per week.
