Position Overview:
- Location: Near Fort Bragg, NC
- Job Type: Locum Tenens, Call Only
- Dates Needed: 24-hour call shifts available on select weekends from January to March 2025
- Practice Setting: Inpatient only, no outpatient responsibilities
- Facilities & Support:
- On-call support from hospitalist, anesthesiology, and radiology teams available 24/7
- Emergency C-sections and GYN procedures
- Nearby high-risk NICU transfer centers
- Housing: Hospital apartments provided adjacent to facility
Position Details:
Role Requirements:
- Board-certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active NC medical license, NC DEA, NC Medicaid credentialing
- Current NC Medicare/PECOS enrollment
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
- Recent, hospital-verified case logs for past 24 months
Key Skills Required:
- Low and high-risk pregnancy management
- Fetal heart rate interpretation, OB ultrasounds, and routine deliveries
- C-sections, complicated deliveries, and repair of lacerations
- Gynecological procedures, including IUD insertion, LEEP, minor surgeries, and cystectomy
- Must be capable of managing emergent obstetric and GYN cases
Patient Care Details:
- Average of 27 monthly deliveries, with approximately 11 C-sections
- Census of 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour shift
- High-risk cases transferred to nearby facilities
Additional Information:
- Call Requirements: 20-minute call response time required
- Travel Support: Travel capped at $500, with preference for candidates within driving distance
- Credentialing: Estimated 10-day credentialing timeframe
