Palm Health Resources is hiring experienced Cardiovascular ICU Advanced Practice Providers in Baltimore, MD for a 3-6 month Locum Contract!
The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant will work in the Cardiovascular ICU at a very high acuity facility, full time, 40 hours per week, 12-13 hour shifts from 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am on a rotating basis.
Daily Case Load is around 4 patients per provider. Central Line Placement required. Must be a BC Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Provider must have CVSICU experience, line placement competency proof and experience with transplant, VAD, ECMO, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients in the CVSICU.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, and evaluate patient responses to interventions.
• Perform invasive procedures, including but not limited to central line placement, arterial line placement, and chest tube insertion.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment options, and discharge planning.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient care and outcomes in the CVSICU
