NEW Permanent Histology Supervisor Opening - San Diego, California
- Permanent full time position
- Shift: Tuesday-Saturday from 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm
- Responsible for the day-to day supervision and oversight of the histology lab. Responsibilities include all aspects of operations, including: training personnel, implementing workflow and software process improvements; coordination of quality assurance program; ensuring compliance with state and national regulatory agencies; and interfacing with other departments including laboratory, Pre-Analytical and the pathology, supply chain and client services. The position is responsible for maintaining efficient processes as they relate to company goals.
- Requirements
- Bachelor s or Associate s degree in science
- Certification: HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP)
- At least 7 years of experience as a histotechnician or histotechnologist sectioning paraffin-embedded tissues, with at least 2 years of supervising histology operations and people management
- Ability to confidently and rapidly cut and mount high quality tissue sections from a variety of tissue types including needle biopsies
- Pay Range: $95k-$105k/year
