We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner for a 6+ month inpatient assignment in Illinois, focused on managing complex cardiovascular cases. This role offers a supportive environment with a day shift schedule and no call requirements, handling a typical patient volume of 8 per day. Ideal candidates will have at least 24 months of experience in cardiovascular surgery and be able to work independently while being board certified as a Nurse Practitioner.
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner for an exciting 6+ month inpatient assignment in Illinois beginning February 2025. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex cardiovascular cases in a high-impact, supportive environment.
Job Assignment Details:
- Shift Schedule: 20 shifts per month, Day shifts only (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
- Average Patient Volume: 8 patients per day
- Types of Cases: Ventilator management, vasopressors, arrhythmias, ECMO (VV/VA), IABP, Impella, post-transplant care, VAD, central & arterial line insertions/removals, chest tube insertions/removals, intubations/extubations, pace wire management, sternotomy, EVH management, cardiac post-op care.
- Call Requirements: No call required
- Charting System: EPIC
- Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification: Nurse Practitioner
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA
- Required Licensure: Illinois
- Experience: Minimum 24 months in cardiovascular surgery ( Must be able to work independently.)
