Tucson Medical Center is currently recruiting for a nurse practitioner to help support our up and coming urology program. This program is designed to work with several employed and community urologists in an inpatient setting to address common issues associated with the genitourinary tract, such as kidney stones, urinary/bladder issues and potentially previously diagnosed prostate cancer. The role would include pre-op/post-op rounding on units, as well as visiting the emergency department for urology consults. Qualified candidates will be required to work 4-10 hour shifts, or 5-8 hour shifts, with no call requirements outside of these hours!
Experience as a urology RN or any previous urology experience is strongly preferred, but not required!
EDUCATION: Completion of an approved physician assistant program, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: New Grad physician assistants are encouraged to apply, especially if you have a specific interest in urology!
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: A current Physician s Assistant license in state of Arizona and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and DEA certifications required. Dept Specific: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
