Position Details: - Start Date: January 1, 2025
- Duration: Ongoing, with 10 days of coverage per month.
- Coverage Type: Call only (beeper).
- Practice Setting: Inpatient-focused with no outpatient responsibilities required.
- Call Requirements:
- Must respond within a 30-minute radius.
- Phone consultations with occasional callbacks.
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Supporting OB/GYN and Emergency Department cases as there is no dedicated Pediatric Unit.
- Essential skills include neonatal and pediatric ventilation management, intubation, lumbar punctures, and more.
Requirements: - License: Must hold an active Texas medical license.
- Certifications:
- Board Certification in Pediatrics is mandatory.
- ACLS and PALS certifications required.
- NRP certification is essential.
- Skills:
- Expertise in non-invasive and invasive ventilation management (newborn and pediatric).
- Proficiency in procedures such as conscious sedation, central line placement, arterial lines, and chest tube insertion.
