Job Responsibilities of the CT Tech: - Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures using cutting-edge computerized diagnostic imaging equipment .
- Support other imaging technologists as needed, maintaining flexibility to provide proper coverage.
- Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and operate pressurized injection equipment.
- Evaluate patients for contrast use, ensuring there are no contraindications, and adhere to safety protocols.
- Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory standards to ensure quality care and compliance.
- Interact with patients and care providers to prioritize procedures and maintain patient flow.
- Assist Radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures using CT imaging to pinpoint anatomical locations.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and in compliance with Infection Control standards .
- Accurately code and enter charges for exams performed.
- Adapt patient care methods to meet the specific needs of patients of various ages, cultural backgrounds, and physical abilities.
- Perform all duties with a focus on patient confidentiality and adherence to core values of the organization.
Minimum Job Requirements for the CT Tech: Education and Experience: - Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an accepted and approved equivalent program.
- Experience:
- 1 year of experience in CT imaging within a hospital or clinical setting is required.
- 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: - ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification is required.
- ARRT Certification in CT is required.
- Current state licensure as a CT Technologist is required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
