Position Summary: The CT Tech/Radiology Tech performs radiology and CT procedures, conducting diagnostic evaluations of patients while providing clinical instruction to students. They follow pain management protocols and maintain records and supplies.
Essential Functions:
- Conducts CT and Radiology procedures and diagnostic evaluations, applying exposure parameters according to patient needs.
- Assesses patient needs relevant to procedures.
- Stocks rooms with supplies and maintains an organized working area.
- Maintains records for patient safety and diagnostic quality, performing Quality Assurance/Quality Control checks as needed.
- Utilizes radiation protection measures and follows hospital policies for pain management and restraint use.
- Demonstrates proficiency with PACS and MediTech systems.
- Provides clinical instruction to students and mentors new techs.
- Performs other assigned duties.
Education & Training Requirements:
- Current ARRT certification (R), with preferred experience in CT (not required).
- Current NM State license.
- AHA BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
