LPN - Annual Wellness Nurse at Norman Regional Health System summary:
The LPN - Annual Wellness Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care in accordance with the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act, contributing to patient care plans, and administering medication safely. This role requires at least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with responsibilities including patient monitoring, documentation of care, and staff training. Applicants must hold a valid LPN license and have current Basic Life Support certification, along with a high school diploma and completion of a vocational nursing program.
Responsibilities:
- Performs duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
- Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients.
- Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.
- Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.
- Documents nursing care and activities.
- Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures.
- Assists with the training of other staff.
- Assists departmental assistant with clinical matters.
Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
Experience
- Prefer at least 1-2 year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care. Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

Licensure/Certification
- Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
Compensation/Benefits
- $17.39-$28.40/hr depending on previous work experience.
