The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner is an Advanced Practice Provider tasked with delivering inpatient care in partnership with attending physicians at a leading academic hospital. This innovative opportunity is for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or a Physician Assistant (PA), to partner with attending physicians working with the Hospital Medicine Unit at a leading Academic Hospital providing inpatient care.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Serve as the responding clinician for already admitted patients. This is the point of first contact for Nursing and other clinical team members. In this role, documentation of significant events and responding to care needs is expected in collaboration with the attending physician.
- Assess and admit patients to the Medical service - including documenting in the electronic health record and entering orders.
Shift hours are, from 7pm-7am.
