An Internal Medicine - Critical Care Physician is responsible for managing high acuity patients in the ICU, providing critical care and medical treatments. The physician must have Pennsylvania licensure and availability for specified coverage dates, as well as certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Duties include overseeing patient admissions from the emergency room, conducting daily rounds, and managing on-call responsibilities for the medical critical care unit.
Coverage: ICU Critical Care - Roaring Spring, PA
Must be PA Licensed
Must have availability for the dates below. Do not present providers that are not available for any of the dates listed.
Current Coverage Needs:
ICU coverage for the following dates: Updated Dates needed-provider must be able to work a full 7 day block.
February 7 at 7AM February 14 until 7AM
April 4 at 7AM April 11 until 7AM
• If BLS, ACLS and/or PALS is required, certification must be through the American Heart Association
• Must have a Pennsylvania DEA
• Must have a Pennsylvania state license
• Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency
Details:
Will cover Medical Critical Care unit
Admit approx 130 patients per month 10-20 patients per day (14-15 Summer 18-20 winter)
24-hour resident coverage, residents take first call
Make rounds on patients in AM with Residents then on-call for the remainder of the 24 hours
Admissions from Emergency Room 3-4 per day
High acuity patients, cardiac and sepsis
Placement of arterial lines
Sedation: Deep, Conscious
Cardio-version
Post OP cardiac surgical management
ACLS required
