Adult Psych RN Eves & EOW – 40hrs.Unit Name: Epstein 4 – Adult Psych.Brief Unit Description: 30-bed Adult Unit, ages 18-65 years. We treat patients with diverse types of mental health issues (anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and dual diagnosis patients: detox here on the unit while treating mental health issues), and some medically acute patients (IVs, CPAPs, Wound Care, diabetic care).Years of Experience Required: 2 years minimum of inpatient adult psych experience.Skill Sets Required: Proficient in using automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in electronic health records documentation, preferably EPIC; proficient in the use of psychotropic medications and side effects; Able to assume the role of charge nurse; Able to complete admissions and discharges; Competent in the use of IV pumps; Competent in care of a diabetic patient.Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 7 or 8 patients.Patient Population: Adult 18 to 65 years of age.Bed Count: 30.EMR (Charting System): EPIC.Floating Required: Yes.Rotating Shifts Required: Yes for Day Rotate, (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a).
