POSITION SUMMARY The Pharmacist Staff Retail Pharmacy ensures medications are procured, prepared, dispensed, and administered safely and legally.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Proficient in pharmacy practice including but not limited to the following areas: Retail dispensing, Home health aids, Performs other related prescription activities such as taking verbal prescriptions, filling of prescriptions, dispensing and verbal consultation, Performs and/or supervises pharmaceutical compounding activities, Provides clinical pharmacy services, including medical history collection, therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic dosing consultations, drug information and education, Participates in and follows standards of departmental quality control and quality assurance programs, Oversees inventory control activities such as monitoring inventory levels, ordering, receiving, stocking and shipping, Supervises pharmacy interns and technicians, Willingly follows and supports all policies and procedures required under Medicare Accreditation, Input and process prescriptions, Correct prescriptions, Counsel patients, Administer vaccines, Perform other related duties as needed.
Job Requirements
Professional Pharmacy degree required. Doctorate preferred.Wisconsin Pharmacist license required or temporary Wisconsin Pharmacist license required while obtaining active Pharmacist license that must be obtained within 60 days of receiving temporary license.Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Pharmacist license.1+ years related work experience required.
