Our department supports three primary verticals: our iconic consumer-facing brands, corporate initiatives, and philanthropic efforts, which are at the heart of working at Wonderful. In this role, you'll analyze sales data, track and assess the impact of advertising and promotions, and provide insights that shape sales, marketing and business strategies. It's an excellent opportunity for a data-driven storyteller to make a tangible impact. While not an IT or pure data science role, this position is highly analytical, requiring an understanding of statistical methods, data visualization, and market research.
This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
Job Description
Collaborate with the AVP to develop predictive models and analyze consumer behavior, advertising impact, and product performance.
Deliver accurate and timely marketing analysis to support strategic research initiatives.
Use R to perform statistical research and data analysis.
Serve as the team's Power BI expert by creating, updating, and managing dashboards and apps.
Define, lead, and execute customized research projects.
Prepare and present research findings to internal stakeholders, including Brand Marketing and Sales teams.
Document processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
Partner with the broader Research & Insights team on cross-functional projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science) or related discipline required.
2-3 years of hands-on experience in a data-driven or analytical role, applying quantitative methods to solve business problems and generate insights.
Proficiency in Power BI for building and managing dashboards.
Proficiency in Excel.
Familiarity with R or other data science programming languages preferred.
Basic statistical knowledge (e.g., correlation, regression analysis); exposure to machine learning is a plus.
Prior experience working with consumer-packaged goods data (sales, panel, and DTC) preferred but not required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort in quantitative data analysis.
Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain a broad strategic perspective.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Pay Range: $90,000-$100,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
