Provider Outreach Representative (remote)
This is a remote position open to any qualified applicant in the United States.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Provider Outreach Representative for our Healthcare division with 1 to 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MS Excel and a background in IVR Healthcare Call Center and Payer domains is a plus. This is a work-from-home position with day shifts and no travel requirements. The role involves managing and optimizing healthcare processes to enhance efficiency and service quality. The primary objective of the position is to ensure that both the provider and member are accessing accurate and up to date data via the Provider Online Directory (POD). Under the direction of the Team Lead and/or SME, CSR performs outbound calls to providers and validates the required demographic information. The Provider Outreach CSR will provide world-class service to our customers in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner to ensure contractual service metrics are consistently met.
Responsibilities:
The job holder will work with groups of Employees (EEs), and Functional Heads in addition to individuals across a variety of tasks:
• Outbound calls for provider data validation
- Proactively reaching out to healthcare providers to verify and update their demographic details (name, address, contact information, specialty)
- Confirming provider participation status
• Ensuring accuracy of the Leads List
- Cross-checking and updating provider information to maintain a high level of accuracy in the database
- Noting discrepancies in provider data
• Documentation
- Reporting trends or common errors to improve data collection processes
• Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Adhering to HIPAA and other healthcare data privacy regulations while handling provider information
- Meeting quality assurance standards for accuracy, efficiency and professionalism during calls
• Perform assigned tasks or work queues to assure Calls are handled timely as well as meeting SLA Target.
• Maintain confidentiality of provider-specific information.
• Adhere to program quality standards and maintain acceptable levels of performance, including but not limited to quality, attendance, adherence to protocols, customer courtesy, and all other productivity and efficiency targets and objectives.
• Learn new methods and services as the job requires.
• Advise Team Lead of any potential problems as they become evident.
• Attend meetings to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is REQUIRED
- Proficient in MS Excel with the ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Experience in IVR systems is a plus.
- Background in healthcare call center operations is desirable.
- Knowledge of payer processes and reimbursement procedures is advantageous.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $18.75 – 19.50 per hour, depending on experience and other
qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and
subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
