Hospital located in Eastern Nebraska is looking for travel RN's in their HVI (Cardio/General ICU/PCU/MedSurg combined Unit) - Generalist ICU and PCU experience accepted.PCU patients and ratio will be expected.This is an ASAP need.13 weeks, 48 hour contracts.
Job Requirements
1 year of experience with this patient populationRequired Certifications: BLS, ACLSNurse:Patient Ratios: 1:4, 1:3 for post surgical patients in the first 24 hoursAre RNs required to titrate drips?: YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem, and multiple other medications for blood pressure management

0630-1900, 1830-0700Manager does schedule, no block or self-schedulingWeekend Requirements: Every otherFloating Requirements: Will float to all same level and lower levels of acuityHow many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: Tailored to needs and experience, 1-2 shifts on unit

ACLS, BLS;Department: CVUCommon diagnoses/Types of patients: Patients who require intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients.Unit heavily supports the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart.Hospitalist &/or Intensivist in house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7?: Yes hospitalist and intensivist in house with Cardiology on call after hoursRT in ICU 24/7?: YesRT Equipment? Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: BiPAP, CPAP, to Nasal CannulaAre there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Remote tele techs, tele hardwired and tele box capabilities. RNs must read and interpret.
