Aethon Energy Operating LLC’s (“Aethon”) Multi-Skilled Operator (“MSO”) is responsible for ensuring wells on assigned leases are functioning optimally. This includes monitoring of well site locations and produced water disposals, as well as performing basic/routine maintenance on various equipment around the well site utilizing company-supplied hand tools/equipment.
- Monitor chemical levels, injection rates, and maximize efficiency of chemical pumped
- Monitor and maintain production on assigned routes
- Work with gas control and respond to alarms and requests in a timely manner
- Understand gas flows and pressures on gathering systems and be able to understand the cause of any anomalies found
- Effectively communicate with cross functional groups such as plant, pipeline, and maintenance personnel
- Monitor pumping equipment, pipelines, compressors, SWD’S, and tanks to ensure they are operating effectively and efficiently.
- Perform basic/routine maintenance on equipment; greasing transfer pumps, injection pumps, pumping units, dump valves, PR valves, BP valves, pipe sections (nipples), water meters and gauges; filter cleaning and/or replacement
- Ensure compressors are operating correctly and failures are reported in a timely manner
- Demonstrate familiarity with operations of natural gas gathering lines such as pigging, line location, and valve maintenance
- Call in oil and water loads to various trucking companies and ensure they are being picked up
- Accurately report the production of each well in the production system and add comments pertaining to loss or gain of production
- Demonstrate the ability to remote monitor and troubleshoot potential issues with assigned assets via company SCADA system
- Perform general maintenance and housekeeping
- Keep location and tanks clean of oil stains, spills, trash, etc.
- Ensure gates are locked, correct signs are posted, fences are in good condition, etc.
- Maintain good relationship with landowners and tenants of assigned areas
- Pulling bottoms and emptying environmental containers
Education & Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of related oil & gas industry experience
- Experience working with Cygnet software
Personal & Soft Skills:
- Ability to work an 8/6 rotating work schedule
- High level of motivation, self-starter
- Good problem solving and critical thinking skills
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Advanced Excel knowledge required
- Production accounting software experience preferred
Physical & Other Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Successful candidate will be able to meet company standard background check specific to individual role prior to employment and will be subject to Company Drug & Alcohol Program and DOT requirements
- Must be able to meet company insurability requirements at all times and hold a valid driver's license with no restriction that would prohibit driving a company vehicle
- Ability to perform indoor/outdoor activities, including lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds
- May require bending, reaching, working at heights and around moving machinery
- Frequently exposed to changes in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to wear respirator protection and PPE, as required
