Job Details
General job duties include management of 1-3 critically ill patients, including neuro, surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients.Primary focus on Neuro ICU caring for ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes and other neuro-related critically ill patients.Ability to manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips.Assist with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, Tracheostomy, line placement, and other diagnostic tests.
Job Requirements
2 years of experience in a large hospital (over 200 beds), level 1 trauma center.Ability to care for critically ill patients independently.ND or compact state RN License required.
Schedule Information
Will be required to float to all units in critical care cluster on both campuses, including 5D (intermediate ICU) with ratios up to 1:4.Day/Night Rotate-8 and 12 hour shifts, occasional 4 hour shifts.Every other Weekend and Holiday, no call required.
Unit Specific Information
Candidate will receive a total of 32 hours of orientation, including 8 hours of hospital orientation, 8 hours of unit orientation, 4 hours of Intermediate ICU orientation, and 12 hours of Broadway ICU orientation.
Additional Details
Candidate must indicate if time off is required during the assignment.Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience within a 200+ bed, level 1 trauma hospital.Experience with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes and other neuro-related critically ill patients is required.Previous Neuro ICU experience within the past 2 years is preferred.Experience titrating vasopressor drips is required.
