Medical Surgical Unit - G6Level II Trauma Center411 Beds40 private and semi-private roomsPatient Types: Any medical diagnosis except CardiacCommon diagnoses include Stroke, COPD, Respiratory issues, GI Bleed, Renal Failure, Electrolyte imbalance, altered mental status, weakness, non-operable fracturesNon-surgical unitPatient Ratios: RN: Days 1:4-5; Nights 1:5-6; CNA: Days 1:10; Nights 1:10Support on the Unit: CNA, Charge nurse, Phlebotomy, House Supervisor, RT, Hospitalist, PT/OT/STCharting System: Cerner, Alaris, PyxisFloating: Potential to float to any area with Med Surg patientsOrientation: 2 Days Hospital orientation, 1 shift on the unitWeekend rotation: every other, Call required: none, Holiday Expectations: manager approval, RTO: Manager approval
Job Requirements
RN: 1 year minimum experience preferredCNA: 1 year experience preferredPrevious charge experience highly preferred for RNProficiency in obtaining vital signs for CNA
