Education: 1+ year experience in Fetal Echocardiography strongly preferred. - Highly desired: 1 +Years At least one-year experience in OB/GYN high risk diagnostic ultrasound. - Required: 1+ Years Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Obstetrics and Gynecology (RDMS OB/GYN).
Schedule Notes:Monday to Friday 815am-4:45pm. No on-call, No holidays, weekend or floating.
Duties: TBD JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES RESPONSIBILITIES % OF TIME 1. Analyzes sonogram and obtains images. Works independently and efficiently to provide high quality and appropriate images with comprehensive views to the physician. Images must be technically accurate and high quality for interpretation. Communicates findings in a concise, knowledgeable, and consistent format to physicians and collaborates with physicians to arrive at diagnosis. 15% 2. Assists physicians in carrying out consultations and examinations as well as assisting in the performance of Invasive diagnostic surgical procedures using sterile techniques. Must be able to safely perform technical skills based on protocols and standards of practice. 20% 3. Performs advanced level sonographic procedures in accordance with physician’s orders and established policies/procedures to obtain obstetric and gynecological data to include specialized obstetric, fetal and gynecological diagnostic examinations to detect fetal anomalies, evaluate fetal anatomy and detect gynecological anomalies. Operates and maintains all features of equipment and notifies supervisor and engineering/biomed of any functional issues. Maintains ultrasound accessories. 25% 4. Identifies self to patient using AIDET. Confirms patient identification and checks for special instructions and confirms anticipated services with the patient. Provides patient support and educating regarding the procedure. Assures patient safety and comfort. Demonstrates accurate knowledge adequate for patient teaching. Appropriately documents patient ultrasound services by completing patient record charting and generating charge slips. 25% 5. Participates in quality control programs as appropriate and is supportive of research and performance improvement initiatives designed to improve patient care and processes. Participates in patient care conferences as appropriate. 15%

Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours. May be required to take call and/or work weekends/holidays based on the needs of the department.
Education: 1 year experience in Fetal Echocardiography strongly preferred. - Highly desired: 1 Years At least one-year experience in OB/GYN high risk diagnostic ultrasound. - Required: 1 Years Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Obstetrics and Gynecology (RDMS OB/GYN). - Required Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Strongly prefer Fetal Echocardiography. - Required Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA and TJC standards and regulations - Required Must be registered in OB/GYN - Required Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. - Required Must have demonstrated ability to perform and teach Ultrasound exams to produce satisfactory diagnostic images for interpretation. - Required Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as knowledge of ultrasound physics and cross sectional anatomy. - Required NT credentialed required - Required Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. - Required
