A company is looking for a Tumor Registrar, CTR Remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain data abstracting and reporting to the Massachusetts State Cancer Registry
- Review and analyze medical records for relevant cancer data and classify demographics, primary site, histology, stage, and treatment
- Prepare information for research studies and Tumor Registry Annual Report under the guidance of the Medical Director
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Associate's Degree and 3 or more years of related experience in Health Information Management (HIM) and data abstraction
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pathology, and physiology
- Exceptional skills with computer navigation and data entry
- Tumor Registrar Certification (CTR) preferred or to be obtained within two years
