The role of an Other Physician entails providing per diem medical services on a PRN basis in locations such as Lawton and Durant, OK. This position requires conducting examinations primarily focusing on interviews and physical assessments for Veterans, with specialties in family medicine and internal medicine being preferred. The candidate must be proficient in evaluating various health conditions, complete necessary training, and utilize specific medical equipment, while no treatment or prescribing is involved.

- Lawton, OK - per diem available
- Durant, OK- Per diem available
PRN as needed.
1099 compensation: -$600 for half day (4 hours)
-$1300 for full day (8 hours)
-$650 for completing all required training and starting assignment
Details:
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Willing to accept these specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, etc, or anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.
- Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
- One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- Quick credentialing & onboarding
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
The provider will need to complete their DMA training.
