Radiology - Interventional Physician at ICON Medical Network summary:
We are seeking two Board Certified Interventional Radiologists to provide locum coverage in Eastern North Carolina. The role involves caring for inpatient and outpatient populations with a typical schedule of Monday to Friday, including nights and weekends on a rotating call basis. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in clinical responsibilities including diagnostics, patient education, and procedural care.
Seeking two Board Certified Physicians to provide locums coverage for their Interventional/Vascular Radiology Service in Eastern, North Carolina.
Coverage needed as soon as possible ongoing.
Two FT providers needed to be onsite M-F with rotation into call schedule either 1:6 or 1:7, which will include nights and weekends.
Monday-Friday 7am-7pm schedule
Highlights:
Inpatient clinical responsibilities
Avg # of inpatient census: 12/day
Anticipated volume per day: up to 25 patients/day
Avg # of patients/day/provider: 6-8
Volume: Outpatient 50% vs Inpatient 50%
Call: nights and weekends
ICU/critical care duties - None
Clinical responsibilities will include rounding, consults, patient history, physical examinations, ordering of diagnostic tests, patient education, bedside procedures and providing outpatient care
BLS certification by The American Heart Association is required.
LT not required to remain on site while on call.
LT will respond to codes.
LT will not be required as backup in the ER.
Less than 1% of visits (outpatient) become admissions.
