Position: Neurohospitalist Physician Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida Opportunity Overview: - Full-time opportunity for a fellowship-trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurology Physician.- The ideal candidate should have a preference for vascular neurology but it's not required.- This position is to replace a retiring physician - The institute specializes in Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Spine and Pain Management, offering a multidisciplinary approach.- Sub-specialty Neurology areas include Stroke, Neurodegenerative diseases, ALS, MS, Parkinson's Disease, Movement Disorders, Migraines, Botox, and Epilepsy.- The selected candidate will primarily work as a Neuro-Hospitalist in the hospital setting.- They will be a crucial part of the comprehensive Stroke team, collaborating with two Neuroendovascular Interventionalists, two Neurocritical Care Intensivists, and a seasoned Stroke Coordinator.- The Stroke program has earned recognition from the American Heart/Stroke Association as a Gold Plus Center since 2012 and has received Target Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus certification since 2014.- Additionally, the program achieved Thrombectomy Stroke Center (TSC) Certification Accreditation by the Joint Commission in 2018 and was accredited in 2021.- The candidate will work alongside 13 physicians and three advanced practice providers in the practice, with additional support from a dedicated hospital PA and occasional medical residents from the University of Miami.- The role is primarily inpatient (90%) with some outpatient responsibilities (10%).- The schedule entails one week on, one week off, including stroke call.- There will also be opportunities for research, and some office-based clinics will be available.
