We are currently seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team for locum tenens coverage. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment with the flexibility to accommodate your schedule.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified: Emergency Medicine
- Licenses: South Carolina Medical License, CSR, and DEA (must remain permanently registered in South Carolina)
- Training: Must be Emergency Medicine residency trained
- Experience: Comfortable with all ages and all emergency medicine procedures
Assignment Details:
- ED Volume: 190 visits/day on average
- Facility Level: Level 2 trauma center (operates as a Level 1)
- Transfer Rate: Exceptionally low; transfers mainly for burns, amputations, and high-risk OB cases
- Support Staff: 5 APPs (mix of NPs and PAs), APP extenders, and scribes
