A Psychiatric-Mental Health Physician provides inpatient care, overseeing consults and taking emergency calls for adults and geriatrics. This locum position involves 24-hour shifts, collaborative work with a healthcare team, and the usage of Meditech Expanse EMR. Physicians must hold active licensure, be board certified or board eligible, and fulfill credentialing requirements within 180 days.

Certifications required: BC & BE within 18 months
Credentialing: up to 180 days
Start Date: April 2025
Coverage: cover sporadic weeks ( 1 week/mo)
Schedule: 24 hour shifts Morning huddle at 8am onsite, then complete consults until done (usually between 3-5)
Call: On call 5pm Friday to following Friday at 5pm Takes emergency call on a rotating basis on evenings, weekends, and holidays Batch calls overnight when possible

Staffing Mix: liaison nurse team, RNS, Psych counselor, LCSWs, Hospitalists may tap on Psych for guidance
