As a Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician, I oversee the admission and rehabilitation process for patients in an acute rehab setting. IRF Free standing - Acute Rehab
Daily Mon Friday .some weekends for admits and any must see patients ; typical IRF need for physiatry ( brief review and sign off with liason of admitting patients ; admit with timely H and P; Plan of Care note : 3 face to face visits min (more if / as needed) ; consult with IM where / if needed ; Team Conf per schedules (afternoons) and weekends 3/16 and 17 and 3/30 and 31
typical would be 8- 5 or 9 to 6 10- 7 etc Case Conferences are after lunch hour ; we have one provider that will be off - he tends to start his day a little later ; the other one that is one during this time tends to start his day earlier. See above on weekend need to rotate (two weekends ) ; call back PRN ; Avg calls per day - 2 to 3- own patient base
Pin point training EMR needed - prefer a few days in advance some time by teams with share screen and our MD director and then arrive day before provider leaves to finalize and hand off
PMR is the admitting MD and will ask for consult where needed and have both IM MD and highly present and available AVP IM
PMR is to do H and P , Plan of Care ; DC summary ; lead team conf with experienced team of professionals / CM team helps drive

Preference will be given to providers that have previous work histories.
