The Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician role involves conducting medical disability examinations and evaluations for Veterans, focusing on PTSD and other mental health conditions. Providers can work on an as-needed basis, either by traveling to a leased facility or scheduling appointments within their own practice. Facility: A private company that provides medical disability examination and evaluation services to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Opportunity:
- ASAP - ongoing
- Willing to accept providers with sporadic availability - will be on an as-needed basis.
- Two (2) options listed above - Travel and perform exams at leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice (noted above what is allowed)
- Will bill per exam
- Initial PTSD exams, follow up PTSD exams, and other mental health exams
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)

- Record review is required in most cases
- No call!
- No weekend!
Compensation: - Initial PTSD Exam (includes times to complete exams, submit report, including any addendums, no OT)
- PTSD follow up and all other mental health exams (includes times to complete exams, submit report, including any addendums, no OT)
- One time bonus for completing all required training
- Mileage - IRS Standard Rate (for personal vehicles only)
