Surgery - Thoracic Physician at ProLocums summary:
A Thoracic Physician provides coverage for inpatient, outpatient, and surgical services related to cardiothoracic care. Responsibilities include 24-hour call duties, electronic medical record management, and performing various thoracic surgeries. Applicants should have a clean background and complete necessary training and screenings prior to their assignment.
Other dates will follow - no specific shifts in mind but to have providers on the roster for any needs as they arise.
Coverage for Inpatient, OR, Outpatient Ambulatory and Call coverage for Cardiothoracic services. OR Monday-Friday 7:00 am- 5:00 pm, Office Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30 pm, Weekday OR Call 5:00 pm- 7:00 am, Weekend OR Call 5:00 pm Friday until 7:00 am Monday. It will be 24-hour call.
Physician will be required to do electronic dictation and will need basic computer knowledge to access patient charts,
X-rays, and lab results. EPIC will be provided.
Prefer Ohio based physicians with clean background.
Provider will be required to attend nine hours of electronic medical records training with both programs. Additional orientation will be scheduled to introduce provider to available resources and people.
Also, will be required to undergo a drug screen (urinalysis), TB screen and review immunization records (provide prior
to start of assignment).
Provider will be expected to be current (according to GMG documentation policies and medical center bylaws) with all patient charts BEFORE hours will be approved for payment.
Cardiothoracic surgical procedures, i.e., CABG, AAA repair, lung resection, vein harvesting, etc.
