A specialty healthcare organization that operates 20+ medical practices throughout the Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, Upstate NY, NJ and CT. All practices specialize in the area of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. They are currently seeking a licensed Physiatrist for an outpatient practice. The Physiatrist will be based out of two locations in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity:
- Specialty: Physiatrist
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am-5pm
- Patient Population: Physiatry - Pain Medicine - Personal Injury, Workers' Comp, No Fault, Commercial, etc.
- On-Call- None!
Responsibilities:
The Physiatrist will be responsible for
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to understand their medical history, current condition, and functional limitations
- Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals
- Prescribing and overseeing various forms of rehabilitation therapy, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy
- Recommending and performing various medical procedures, such as trigger point injections, soft tissue, and joint injections to treat pain and improve physical functioning
- Engage in research to advance the field's understanding of rehabilitation techniques, interventional procedures, and outcomes for patients with disabilities or chronic conditions
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice Medicine in New York
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- 3+ years internship/residency training
- Board Eligible / Certified in Physical medicine and Rehabilitation or Neurology
