Pulmonologists/Critical Care Physicians to work at the
VAMC, Shreveport, LA
Requirements
- (2) Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonologists Physicians
- Must have 3 years experience as a Pulmonologist
- Must have BLS, ACLS, DEA
- 3 Years of experience as a Pulmonologist
Contract Length
- 7/1/21-6/30/22
- Work hours Sunday Saturday 7a-7p & 7p-7a. Coverage needs of site is 24 hours per day.
Expectations:
Contractor s physician(s) (as appropriate and within scope of practice/privileging) shall be responsible for providing Pulmonary care, including, but not limited to: • Provide inpatient consultations in pulmonary. • Evaluate and manage patients in chest. • Be responsible for appropriate documentation of clinic notes, consultations, and procedures using the computerized patient record system (CPRS). • Process and take action upon all clinical alerts in CPRS and prescription renewals, sign and cosign all CPRS notes, return messages regarding patients, and respond to patients and inquiries in a timely manner.
Clinic and Surgical Care: Contractor s physician(s) shall provide clinical pulmonary services. Contractor s physician(s) shall be present on time for any scheduled clinics/surgeries as documented by physical presence in the clinic or operating room at the scheduled start time.
