DescriptionSummary:
The Occupational Health Nurse works in conjunction with Human Resources on any matters dealing with associate health. In addition to assisting associates when health issues arise, this person will play a large role in the wellness initiative within the hospital to ensure we are doing our best on preventing any health issues. This position will ensure that the facility is in compliance with the State of Texas, DHH, ADA and Joint Commission as related to employee health issues.
Requirements:
A. Education/Skills
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Strong analytical skills. Knowledge and understanding of the laws and regulations (State of Texas, DHH, ADA and Joint Commission) concerning employee health.
· Basic computer knowledge.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
B. Experience
· 5 years’ experience in an acute care patient environment or Employee Health
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
· Current State of Texas LVN license
· Current BLS
