Overview
At Carenet Health, the Clinical Training Manager is a vital leader responsible for overseeing clinical training initiatives to ensure the highest quality of patient care and operational excellence. This role is instrumental in equipping Carenet’s Clinical Operations team with the skills, knowledge, and competencies required to meet and exceed client expectations.
The Clinical Training Manager engages in consulting, lesson planning, coaching, program development, coordination, and evaluation, ensuring alignment with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. This role plays a pivotal part in driving employee growth, improving clinical performance, and ensuring compliance with industry and organizational benchmarks.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
A. Business Acumen
- Develop clinical training policies and procedures aligned with Carenet Health’s goals and regulatory standards.
- Stay current on industry trends and technologies to design competitive and adaptive training programs.
- Partner with leaders across Clinical Operations to identify training needs and implement strategic solutions.
- Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs against business objectives.
- Support organizational change by designing training that facilitates smooth transitions and promotes engagement.
- Effectively communicate training strategies and progress to stakeholders, emphasizing their impact on clinical performance.
B. Team Management and Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage the clinical training team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide actionable feedback for team development.
- Foster collaboration and open communication among team members, promoting a positive work environment.
- Recognize high-potential individuals and create succession plans to sustain leadership pipelines.
C. Training Resource Planning and Allocation
- Coordinate with Workforce Management to align training programs with business demands.
- Ensure proper allocation of training resources, including trainers, materials, technology, and venues.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of training activities, including attendance, completion rates, and certifications.
D. Training Needs Assessment, Program Development, and Implementation
- Collaborate with Clinical Leadership to assess training needs using performance metrics and feedback.
- Partner with the Content Development team to create and implement engaging, evidence-based training programs.
- Continuously evaluate and improve training initiatives based on industry trends, quality data, and learner feedback.
E. Training Evaluation and Reporting
- Establish mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of training programs and their impact on business outcomes.
- Prepare and present reports on training outcomes to Carenet Health leadership, with recommendations for improvement.
F. Training Delivery and Facilitation
- Deliver clinical training programs, both virtually and onsite, using innovative methods to enhance learning.
- Regularly evaluate participant progress through assessments and provide actionable feedback.
- Facilitate specialized training sessions for leadership, clinical teams, and client programs.
G. Administrative Tasks
- Audit training records, attendance, and reporting metrics to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Manage team and trainee timekeeping for payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Adhere to Carenet Health’s logistics and data warehousing processes for training-related documentation.
H. Customer Focus, Communication, and Collaboration
- Maintain regular communication with clinical and training teams, sharing insights and performance data.
- Provide timely resolutions to concerns while demonstrating adaptability in diverse interactions.
- Actively support Carenet Health’s organizational initiatives and collaborate across departments.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 8 years of experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of clinical triage experience in Emergency Department or Urgent Care.
- 2-4 years of training experience with a strong focus on clinical environments.
- At least 1 year of management experience (more is preferred).
- Skills:
- Proficiency in onsite and virtual training delivery.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills that foster a positive learning environment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Zoom.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
License/Certification Requirements
Employees must maintain current licensure/certifications as a condition of employment. Any changes in status must be reported immediately. Expired licensure may result in suspension from work, job reclassification, or termination.
Working Conditions
- Primarily remote, with occasional onsite requirements as directed by leadership.
- Work environment includes moderate noise levels, proper lighting, and stable internet connectivity.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for extended periods when working remotely and stand for extended periods during onsite training.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and possess good hand-eye coordination, close vision, and color vision.
