At Graza, we believe that every kitchen deserves delicious, fresh olive oil to use every day, in every way. Our two squeezable olive oils, Sizzle and Drizzle, are sold in over 15,000 retail doors nationwide, with retailers spanning Grocery, Natural, Mass, Alternative, and Club Channels.
Graza is looking for a Sales Manager to join our Sales team, on a mission to continue growing Graza’s success on Grocery shelves in the East. Priority will be given to candidates that can work 4 days a week out of one of our offices in Brooklyn, NY or Austin, TX, however qualified remote candidates will be considered. The Sales Manager role reports directly to the Head of Sales.
Role Purpose
The Sales Manager, East Grocery will lead our growth in the East through execution and expansion in new and existing Grocery Channel accounts, including Wegmans, Ahold-Delhaize, Big Y, as well as our Northeast distributor partners and independents. Responsibilities will include selling distribution into new accounts, expanding distribution and strategic partnership in existing accounts, analyzing data, building strategies to efficiently drive growth, and executing those strategies.
We are looking for a team player who is motivated to build strong relationships internally and externally, create strategic plans, and execute with agility to drive sales performance.
Role Responsibilities
- Hold ownership for East Grocery headquarter relationships and end to end account management, both cultivating existing relationships, to expanding Graza’s retail presence
- Lead, train, and manage performance of assigned brokers and retail merchandising partners. Build relationships with brokers to leverage insights to understand and manage distribution, voids, in-stock levels, pricing/promotion and execute best-in-class displays
- Hold ownership for forecasting and inputting demand and promotional activity for key customers on a monthly basis
- Execute new product launch strategy with accounts as assigned
- Cultivate relationships with distributor partners and develop strategic growth plans to unlock potential
- Work with Category Management to create custom, data-informed selling materials for buyer category review meetings and business planning meetings
- Review, analyze, and share sell-through and distributor level data regularly to inform business decision making
- Proactively identify new opportunities with assigned customers, and take action to optimize distribution, pricing, placement and facings, and promotional effectiveness
- 5+ years CPG Sales experience required, high-growth startup experience preferred
- East Grocery headquarter account and distributor management experience required
- Proficiency with CPG data metrics and platforms, such as SPINS, Nielsen, or IRI
- Proven success in developing and implementing effective sales strategies, and building strong relationships across both new and existing accounts within the natural channel
- Expertise in trade promotions and account-specific strategies, with the ability to provide data-driven recommendations and tailored marketing solutions to buyers.
