Job Details
10 hour days (730a-6pm) with a day off during the week.On call as well including weeknights and weekends.EPIC experience REQUIRED.The Medical Imaging Technologist within the Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, under the direction of the Medical Director, the manager, and the physicians, has a key role in providing quality care to patients requiring a wide variety of procedural services.VIR technologists practice and enforce the radiation safety measures in New York State Department of health code part 16 and support teaching and continued learning for themselves and others as technology evolves.
Job Requirements
Must be a graduate of an approved professional academic imaging program.Must hold an Associate or Applied Science Degree (AS or AAS), or Diploma, in X-ray.Must hold current New York State registration or possess a limited permit to practice in the State of New York and be registered by the ARRT.CPR certification is required.Previous experience is helpful.

Unit Specific Information
The VIR Technologist works collaboratively with all members of the team to create diagnostic images, engage in hands-on participation as a procedural assistant.Demonstrate knowledge of the operation of all IR and OR hybrid procedure rooms.Knowledge of complex cases such as the treatment of peripheral arterial disease, portal hypertension, cancer, DVT and PE, trauma, aortic aneurysms, dialysis interventions, and neurointervention.
