ED Tech Full Time Nights Position Summary
Provides patient care support services in the Emergency Department under the supervision of an RN.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills, knowledge of basic medical terminology required.
THE ED TECH FULL TIME NIGHTS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
One year of experience in as a nursing assistant; or in lieu of experience,
Current CNA certificate, or LNA license from the Arizona State Board of Nursing; or
Completed block one/first year of nursing school; or
Current EMT-B certification; or
Completion of formal PCA/T/ED Tech education program from an accredited institution.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Six months experience in a hospital or emergency room setting as a Unit Secretary, EMT or CNA.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or meet minimum experience requirements; CPR.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Emergency Medical Tech (EMT), CPR.
