Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and maintain best practice accounting controls and systems
- Manage remote accounting team
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, general ledger, and inventory accounting
- Perform month-end and year-end close
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a controller or similar role in the retail industry
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 10 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Advanced QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel user
- Experience in retail and/or hospitality industries considered a plus
- Data entry skills and a knack for numbers
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize activities
