A company is looking for a Coding Specialist to manage coding, auditing, and data entry for surgeries and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Review documentation for accuracy and adherence to regulations
- Communicate with physician practices for necessary documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Participate in ICD-10 readiness initiatives
Required Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Three to five years of multi-specialty coding experience
- Current AHIMA or AAPC Coding Certification(s) such as CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or COC
- Maintains coding credentials through continuing education activities
- Experience with Epic, 3M encoder, and Microsoft Office applications is preferred
